Welcome to Saranda Express – Burdeni. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website https://saranda-express.com and our transportation services. By booking a ticket or using our website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms.

1. Booking and Ticketing

  • Validity: A ticket is only valid for the specific passenger, date, time, and route stated on it.
  • Booking Details: It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure that all details provided during the booking process (name, travel dates, contact info) are accurate.
  • E-Tickets: If you book online, you must present your electronic ticket (on your smartphone) or a printed copy, along with a valid ID, before boarding.

2. Border Crossings & Travel Documents (Important)

Since our route crosses the international border between Greece and Albania, all passengers must comply with immigration and customs laws.

  • Required Documents: Every passenger must carry a valid passport or an official National Identity Card (where applicable), and any necessary visas for entry into Greece or Albania.
  • Passenger Responsibility: Saranda Express – Burdeni is not responsible for advising passengers on visa requirements. If a passenger is denied exit or entry at the border due to missing, invalid, or expired travel documents, the bus will continue its journey.
  • No Refunds for Border Rejections: In the event a passenger is detained or turned back by border authorities, no refund will be issued, and the company holds no liability for any resulting costs or inconveniences.

3. Luggage Policy

  • Allowance: Each passenger is entitled to carry two (2) pieces of standard luggage to be stored in the luggage compartment, and one (1) small piece of hand luggage to be taken inside the cabin.
  • Prohibited Items: Hazardous, flammable, explosive, or illegal substances are strictly prohibited on board and in the luggage compartment.
  • Liability: While we take great care of your belongings,Saranda Express – Burdeni is not liable for fragile or valuable items (e.g., electronics, jewelry, cash) placed in the luggage compartment. These should be kept in your hand luggage.

4. Boarding and Departures

  • Arrival Time: Passengers must arrive at the departure point at least 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
  • Missed Departures: If a passenger fails to arrive on time, the ticket becomes void, and no refund will be issued. The bus cannot wait for late arrivals as it will disrupt the schedule for all other passengers.

5. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Passenger Cancellations: Tickets can be canceled or rescheduled up to 24 hours before the scheduled departure for a voucher. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before departure are non-refundable.
  • Company Cancellations: In the rare event that we must cancel a trip due to severe weather, road closures, or technical issues, passengers will be offered a full refund or the option to rebook on the next available service.

6. Passenger Conduct and Right to Refuse Service

For the safety and comfort of all passengers and our staff, we reserve the right to refuse service or remove a passenger from the bus if they:

  • Are intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances.
  • Behave in a disruptive, aggressive, or unsafe manner.
  • Refuse to follow the driver’s instructions.
  • Smoke (including e-cigarettes) inside the bus.

7. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to operate exactly on schedule, Saranda Express – Burdeni is not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure). This includes, but is not limited to: heavy traffic, severe weather conditions, prolonged border control queues, strikes, or road accidents.

8. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Albania. Any disputes arising out of these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Sarande, Albania.
